Fall Of The Innocent [Kalan] Draft 3

Fall Of The Innocent. [Kalan]

The days were fine and the warm winters had begun to settle in. Heaven seemed to be a happy place when the winter came as the younger angels loved to watch the humans play around with the snow and cuddle around winter fires. But for Kalan, a young and prosperous angel, little did she know that Winter was the season that would change her life.

Kalan as a child, was young and full of spark, attitude and laughter. These traits is what drew her admirably to both Gabriel and Lucifer. This was long before Lucifer’s hatred for the humans took over his thinking and his actions, back when he was able to be a good mentor and teacher. Both the Archangels were teaching her their abilities of trickery and illusion, as well as the basic angel rules of do’s and dont’s, but that was more Michael’s job. As mentors and as siblings Lucifer and Gabriel were good to her, giving all the guidance they could and bringing her up in the eyes of their Father and she loved them with every moment with them.

Michael was the only archangel that Kalan felt least connected to. She thought he was too serious and this made everyone she said this to, chuckle. Quite a few times he scalded her for not concentrating properly on the important tasks they would be assigned to in the future years. This all depended on the Garrison she would be assigned to, depended in her tasks for the rest of her days as an angel. As daunting as this sounded, Kalan was prepared for anything.

"Gabriel, I dislike how Michael is so grumpy all the time. Why doesn’t he smile." Kalan complained one day, as she tried to warm her mind and prepare for the todays illusional challenge.
“I don’t know little one, maybe he just needs some encouraging. You know how seriously he takes his words and his job” he replied with a grin. “Now concentrate”
“Forgive me for saying but, an equal balance of happiness, fun and your job is what matters, or he will be grumpy forever!” She chirped in her child-like manner.
“Kalan please..” He began folding his arms, raising a bow he shook off her outburst and used it positively “Well, let Michael be an example. Keep that balance or you will end up like Grumpy Michael” Gabriel winked “Now concentrate on the warm up or you will hurt yourself” Kalan nodded in reply and proceeded to continue with her studies.

The years went by, this winter was Kalan’s first as a young adult, due to have her judgment on which Garrison she will be selected too. By this point Kalan was still not close to Michael, but they were civil comrades and were able to talk to one another as a pair of adults.
“Kalan, you understand that what you do during judgement will stay with you for the rest of your years as an angel” Michael announced to her less as a mentor, but more as a concerned colleague.
“Michael, my dearest brother, with you Gabriel and Lucifer as my mentors, there is little that could go wrong” she smiled back. “I will be continuing my studies in a few hours”
“A few hours?” Michael questioned with a raised brow.
“Yes, Gabriel and Lucifer are still teaching me their tricks” she smiled, although she regretted the choice of telling Michael immediately. He face distorted into a disappointed and shamed look.
“I thought I said..”
“I know what you said!” Kalan snapped. Gasping at how badly she had reacted forced her into bowing looking at the floor “I am so sorry for my outburst but please, Michael understand that this is the only hobby I have and I enjoy spending my spare time on more education, it is enjoyable being able to have a break from my studies. Please, let me continue this” she fought for her case as much as she could. Maybe now that she was an adult Michael would be a little more lenient with her.
“If anything, anything at all is disrupted because of you, Gabriel and Lucifer will be the last time you… Well, let’s just say that there will be consequences” he grumbled, vanishing in front of her. Kalan had a great knot in her stomach after that threat she hoped was an empty one. But knowing Michael it would not have been empty so, Kalan warned the Archangels and took great care in her practicing.

"I’m proud of you" all three Archangels mused to Kalan as she was given her garrison. Kalan spent the next few months studying, practicing and getting to know all the angels within her Garrison. "They don’t smile! No one really talks to me. They see me as troublesome, but Castiel has spoken to me a few times, he is really nice and I like talking to him but he is just as serious as the rest of them!" Kalan jokingly moaned to Gabriel and Lucifer. They said nothing back to her, but they would always change the subject with a day of pranks and fun.

The other angels were well aware of the antics of Gabriel, Lucifer and their young trickster-in-training. When Kalan was younger, they would act and play the part of the victim, even though some of the pranks and tricks didn’t actually work. Now she was older and has got a lot of years experience, the other angels were still amused by her persistence but sometimes they would pull her a side and tell her when enough was enough. Like an obedient child of God she would listen and they would stop the pranks for a while and then slowly she would start again.

The only thing you would have to look out for, is if all three were having a prank war between themselves. Lucifer would win most of the time, but as of recent, Lucifer had grown a hatred for the humans and the pranks would be between Gabriel and Kalan. Kalan never spoke of Lucifer’s change and his hatred for the humans which seemed to grow within days, months and years of the humans even existing. Kalan became very scared of Lucifer and always thought of attempting to hide from him when he came around. But she knew that to most of the angels he was okay, he was just temperamental and you knew not to annoy him. Most of the time he was okay to talk to, but you will know when he is in a bad mood, and that is when you run. Lucifer then began to vent out his frustration and anger for the humans on the lesser angels and would cause arguments within the angel hierarchy.

Gabriel had certainly changed since Lucifer became hateful. he seemed distant and wasn’t always interested in doing things. Kalan would try with all her might to get Gabriel smiling again, but quite often he would send her away and lock himself in to hide from the rest of the angels. Gabriel lost all forms of humour and heaven became boring and the atmosphere was tense and every angel were on edge.

Then came the day when Kalan finally managed to get Gabriel out from his solitude and back to his usual self. What seemed like hours they went around playing tricks on each other and left little surprises for the other angels. Kalan and Gabriel was having a practice with Kalan’s Illusion skill when they were approached by Lucifer. He sauntered up to them and asked if they would allow him to join. Kalan felt Gabriel tense up and within seconds Gabriel was back to his miserable self and he vanished. Before he left Gabriel explained that he was in no mood to be around Lucifer after the argument which he caused during that morning. But as soon as Kalan was left alone with Lucifer she felt a obliged to forgive him so, out of fear and guilt, she allowed him to join in on the fun. Gabriel had clearly left the game and showed no sign of coming back. Thats when Lucifer’s pranks became a little feisty and dangerous. “Lucifer this is getting out of hand. Someone will get hurt!” Kalan said as she stopped a boulder from falling and crushing her and everyone in the corridor. Lucifer seemed to ignore her and immediately she went to Gabriel “Gabe, Lucifer is getting out of control, we need to talk to Michael!”
Gabriel shrugged “Well talk to Michael! Don’t complain to me about it” he grumbled.
“Can you talk to him first, please?” She asked with great distaste for the way Gabriel was talking to her.
“No.” He said bluntly and blindly he vanished.

Kalan sighed and appeared in front of Michael’s door. Knocking a few times she waited patiently for someone to arrive. Michael came to the door and in a sudden frown he asked what the matter was. “It’s Lucifer, he’s playing pranks and..” Before Kalan could finish her words five sharp arrows shot from the shadows straight through Michael and pierced his head, shoulders, waist, legs and feet. He was pinned to the opposite wall bleeding to death. Kalan screamed in shock as it all happened so quickly and without her knowledge.
“Help! Someone help!” She squealed as she tried to de-pin Michael from the wall. The Michael that was pinned to the wall vanished and the real Michael came forward from the doorway, he was angry and Kalan knew that the outcome was not going to be pretty. “Michael! But how, I saw, I thought..” Kalan began stuttering and stumbling over her words. Kalan was unaware of how well Michael was able to use the same skills as Lucifer and Gabriel, but at this moment, after this event, all thought processes had vanished and it left her a gibbering wreck.

"Yes I know, I heard your screams and your cry for help. Lucky for you I was prepared for any sort of childish games. I didn’t think you could stoop so low and be so idiotic that you would attempt to perform one on me!" Michael spat with disappointment but with slightly amused.
“It wasn’t me! It was Lucifer. Me and Gabriel were having one of our prank wars and then…” Kalan began before Michael raised his hands and silenced her.
“Your lies will not be heard today. Your punishment will be quick and swift” he said as he dragged to her through all the halls and past all the rooms of study, her garrison were in one of these rooms and everyone spotted her being dragged away. No one seemed to care at this point, they were all interested in what they were doing, all except one. One angel came to the doorway in interest. Castiel, the only angel that ever spoke to Kalan without disgust their his voice went to go and investigate but got pulled back by other angels from his garrison “Castiel, you need to concentrate. Don’t worry yourself about her, Kalan will be dealt with” the voice was scornful and slightly malicious. With a confused face he slowly retreated from the doorway, his eyes never leaving the door to Which Kalan was dragged into.

Kalan on the other hand was brought into the large room where all important decisions were dealt with, the rooms looked and resembled much that of a courtroom. Michael cleared his throat and spoke. “Kalan, you are being held here for attempted murder of an Archangel, how do you plead?”
“Innocent! I was..”
“Silence, you shall speak when spoken to” Michael’s voice rang out and echoed around the room. Kalan bowed her head in shame and silence. Only Kalan and Michael resided in the room and she knew it wasn’t going to be a fair trial, so she had to stand there and listen to Michael go on and on about the rules and what he warned her all those years ago “I still stand by what I said! You will be punished for this”
“It wasn’t even my fault!” Kalan cried out, angry and not caring about the speak when spoken to rule. “This is a crime I did not commit!” she spat with malice, her eyes narrowed and her hands clenched into fists.
Michael’s lips pursed together and a low rumble began to shake the room. “How dare you speak to me like that..” Michael began through gritted teeth. The rumble escalated into a loud earth quake where Kalan had trouble keeping on her feet.
“Michael! Michael stop, please!” Kalan yelped dodging a few tiles that had come loose within Michael’s anger.
“I said quiet!” Michael he bellowed slamming his fists onto the desk he was seated at. The lights that spotlighted Michael and Kalan popped and glass shattered around Kalan, she cowered in fright and curled up on the floor, her arms covering her face.
“Michael! Make it stop!” Kalan cried.

"Michael! you know Kalan is telling the truth." Came a familiar voice.

"Lucifer. You know when others are using this room is it necessary for others to stay out!" Michael grumbled glancing towards his brother. Lucifer smiled as his feet were resting on the other seats and he gave a wink to Kalan who glanced at her mischievous brother. Kalan got up and realised that everything that happened was an illusion. Kalan relaxed and whimpered burying her face in her palms.

"I would have gladly stayed out if I knew you would be giving Kalan a fair trial and the chance to explain herself." Lucifer replied arriving next to Kalan and placed his arms around her. The hair on the back of her neck stood on end as he touched her. She tried to remember the better days of Lucifer and her body relaxed slightly, but this was now the least of her problems.
“So, Lucifer, you are the one who set that trap and tried to murder me?” Michael said bluntly.
“Yes, that is correct.” He grinned, clearly not apologetic about the situation. Michael nodded and wrote some notes down.
“And that makes Kalan your accomplice” Michael added
Kalan lurched forward with every reason to object when she felt Lucifer’s hand on her shoulder and he spoke first.
“No. I was alone in this prank, Kalan likes Gabriel’s type of pranks and jokes, but I myself like the finer and more dangerous teasing. Kalan is completely innocent in this occasion” Lucifer explained.

Michael was silent for a time as he stood there scratching down notes and reviewing them, scratching more and thinking longer. “I will be back. Don’t go anywhere.” He warned. And vanished.

"Lucifer you’ve crossed the line this time. I said didn’t I that some thing was going to go wrong and that I would…" Kalan wept. She ran her fingers through her hair and spun to look at him. "but, Thank you for coming and speaking for me"
Lucifer looked at her smiled and nodded. “You’re a good kid Kalan, I’d hate to see you go down like this.” He said bluntly. “Not to mention, you’d be falling to Earth with those creatures” he snarled.
“Lucifer please.” Kalan whispered “Don’t do this.”
“Do what?” He spat in reply, his hands clenching and his eyes narrowing furiously.
“Stop thinking about the humans. You get all tense and scary” Kalan said placing a hand on his shoulder.
“The sooner you learn how disgusting and grotesque the humans are, the better.” Lucifer raged, his hand raised high above his head and slapped her hard in face causing her to stumbled backwards with a yelp.
Kalan’s face was red and her eyes swelled up with tears as soon as it happened. Lucifer realised what he did and went to apologies to her but Michael swooped in breaking all forms of action and any thought process.
“I have come to my conclusion. I have spoke with our Father and…” Michael began. Kalan launched herself into Lucifer’s arms and grumbled an apology to him. Lucifer held her in her arms and smoothed her rosy cheek as he apologised to her as well and he glared at Michael for leaving a long pause.
“Kalan you are being banished to Earth for being an accomplice to Lucifer’s plight and Lucifer, we have a special punishment for you.”

Michael clicked his fingers and pulled the two apart. Kalan began to panic as Michael disappeared and left them to be dealt with. Lucifer shouted to Kalan to keep her eyes on him. “Look and concentrate on me okay. It will all be fine, Michael is probably playing around with us, you’ll see” he said with a smile. He knew that it as a lie, and so did Kalan, but the thought was pleasant and sometimes a beautiful can get you through a tough situation.

The four horsemen appeared in the middle of the room and each one connected their rings to make a portal. The room began to rumble and the middle of the floor began to disappear and suck inside itself. The four horsemen stepped back as Michael appeared in front of Lucifer and he began to speak. Kalan couldn’t hear properly but she knew that it was bad. Lucifer was upset and clearly hurt about what was about to happen, but both Archangels looked over towards the weeping Kalan and she wasn’t sure if Michael pushed or Lucifer jumped into the hole in the floor. Kalan went to scream out to Lucifer but she couldn’t move and the sound of the wind being sucked into the hole silenced her screams.

The floor returned to normal the Horsemen retrieved their rings and vanished. Michael came towards Kalan with a purpose, was she going to be the first angel to be banished from Heaven? She knew that there would be no point in running but she did walk backwards till her back hit the wall. “What did you do to Lucifer and what will you do to me?” She whimpered.
“Lucifer has gone to a Cage in the deepest and darkest pits of Hell and you my dear are going to Earth. You will have no memory of being an Angel and there you will live and thrive for the rest of eternity. Once you die, you will be reborn as another human again and again. I hope you realise what you did was wrong, it is a real shame to lose you.” He sighed running his fingers through her hair.
“I am innocent, why can’t you see that” Kalan whispered in terror.
“The evidence said different.” Michael warned. “Now take my hand and you will fall to Earth”
Kalan nodded and began to silently cry. She felt such shame even though she was innocent. “Can I at least say goodbye to Gabriel?” She asked as a last wish, Michael shook his head and told her that he had disappeared. Admitting defeat Kalan took Michael’s hand and she felt herself fall, down through the stars, past the clouds and into a house, where a young baby girl with a twin sister, Alex, had just been born, only to be trapped there for all eternity.

Or till someone realises who she really is.

*SLAP* "Shut up, shut up shut up!" Durzarina screamed.

Gabriel winced, turning his head toward the ground after the recoil. He kept his mouth shut like he was told, no matter how much he wanted to apologize for his actions.

She clenched her fists in anger and beginning to shake she clamped her hands over her mouth to try and stop herself from going overboard.

Glaring at Gabriel she could feel tears seeping through and her anger falling into sadness for the time being.

"You. Are. Such. A. Pillock!" She managed to utter. Taking a deep breath Durzarina tried again to speak, but more explain "You knew how much that meant to me. You knew! My emotions are not to be reckoned with!" She spat. Slamming her fists on the nearest table and clenched her teeth together "Now explain yourself or so help me I will batter the crap out of you!"

Gabriel kept his eyes down. He hated when it was his fault she was angry because he hated being the blame of everything. Mainly because it reminded him of how his father used to treat him.

He didn’t want to look up and see the tears that he could hear in her voice. He flinched when she slammed her hand down, squeezing his eyes shut.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to!" he started quickly. He didn’t know what else to say. He had no explanation. "It was an accident! I didn’t do it on purpose and I didn’t mean to upset you. It just happened."

———- [//Tumblr wont allow me to break so uh yeah//]——-

Durzarina went over to him and grabbed him by his collar.  ”Look at me when I’m talking to you!  This time you..you… you went too far” she broke.  Her grip on him weakened and she covered her face with her hands, sobbing deeply. “Why couldn’t you just leave things alone?  They were my family.  The closest thing I had to a family.”

Durzarina looked into his eyes, hers were all puffy and irritable.  Blinking blindly she didn’t know what to do. “Wh-What went wrong? Usually you are so good that pranks and jokes?” Durzarina  began to get frustrated.  She hated being angry at Gabriel, but this, this was too much. “You should have stopped if you knew they were in danger” she yelled breaking into tears again.

"Hi Uncle. Has Lucifer told you about me yet?" came a small query from the shadows. ((Hi :3))

((Hello^^))

Gabriel furrowed his brows. “I… I don’t think he has ever mentioned anything about anyone? And ‘uncle’?”

Durzarina frowned hard and confused. “Why does he show it in such.. such.  All this time I thought he hated me and…” she trailed off and slumped onto the floor.  Nodding she couldn’t believe what he was saying. “If only I’d known” she finished blinking back at her Uncle.

Running a finger through her hair Durzarina bit her lip. “Why are you out of the mischief business? Age does not stop you from that!” she forced a laugh.

"Because he always has to pretend he’s the bad guy, even if he’s not. It’s odd, but it’s like this." He shrugged lightly. "And well, no one knows everything. Most of the time I just take wild guesses. Everyone does that." He took her hand gently.

"And well, it’s for my own mental sanity that I’m out of business. Being a Trickster, while holding up all the sufferings of everyone of my siblings is hard. And I went down too much to allow myself to lose myself and my mind again." HE was quite serious.

Durzarina sighed as she felt her Uncle’s hands in hers.  He was so warm and after hearing all this trouble she smiled weakly “The family is so disjointed its painful”

Looking into his eyes she dived into his chest for a hug and held him tight.  ”I’m so sorry.  I wish I had faced you sooner” she smiled.  ”I.. um.  Can we go and do something to take us of this depressing subject?  Let’s go to the beach or..or.. something?” she asked trying to think positive thoughts.

Durzarina sighed and sat on the wall. “Maybe its just one huge prank to ed all pranks for you?” She suggested with a slight smirk.

Her bare feet dangled down, flexing her toes she chuckled. “I never thought I’d see the day you not eating candy and playing tricks.” She then held her hands up innocently “I can admit that it certainly wasn’t me”

Durzarina woke up and found herself in the middle of nowhere.  She was lost and had no memory of what happened.  Raising an eyebrow she pressed forwards, wandering through the woods and getting more aggravated as she soon realised she was going around in circles.

"HELLO?" she yelled, her voice harsh and croaky.  Clamping her hands to her throat she whimpered and turned into a random direction and allowed her legs to carry her wherever.  The trees grew thicker and thicker and Durzarina pressed on in the woods, forcing herself through a bunch of shrubbery Durzarina found herself in the presence of a small cabin. "Cabin in the woods.  Why is it always a cabin?" she rolled her eyes "How cliche" Still Durzarina continued to approach the cabin and politely knocked on the door.  When no answer came she tried to open it and with a grin she walked in.

The house was bare and minimal furnishings dotted the room, curling her lip she waltzed into the next room.  Nothing but a large wardrobe was in the room.  Sighing Durzarina walked diagonally aiming for the other door when she stopped.  Blinking a few times she began to feel a little contained and her stomach tightened.  With the look of horror in her face she spotted the Devils Trap painted neatly on the ceiling. “You’ve got to be kidding me? HELP! SOMEBODY HELP” she screamed. “PLEASE!”

"I am quite capable of scratching my own back, as you put it,” Norrington retorted, fixing the girl with a look. “Even if you could get my title back, which I highly doubt, why would I clear your name?  I know nothing about you.  For all I know, you’re completely guilty.”

Durzarina clenched her hands into fists and tried to stay calm.  ”You doubt me?  Of course you do, you don’t know me.  I can and will get back your title” she replied raising a brow and stepping towards him.

"And if you want to- I mean, If you didn’t clear my name, you would be condemning an innocent woman to die" she added

((No problem, love~))

"A daughter? I am the daughter." she says, her voice laced with malice. "Who the hell are you anyways?"

"Sounds delightful." she says, her hands suddenly surrounded by black magic. "How would you feel if my Hellhound, Cera, joined us by the way?"

"Fine by me!" she chuckled.  Rummaging into her bag that swung loosely by her side she picked out a map.  Unveiling it, she placed a single finger on its surface and writing began to appear. "The next town is a few miles down the road" she exclaimed putting the map away. "I stole that from Dad when he first started being a pillock" she shrugged.

"Its a neat trick. Maybe you can show me one day." She says before calling her HellHound, Cera, to her side."This is Cera. My hellhoun" she says proudly. ((I’M SO SORRY THAT I’M THIS LATE, I’VE BEEN DEALING WITH PERSONAL SHIT))

//That is not a problem sweetie! you get your life sorted first :)  Oh and I’ve changed Durzarina’s bio so she can bend Fire and Shadow, just so she isn’t completely pathetic :3

Durzarina grinned and welcomed the company of the Hellhound. “Hello Cera” Durzarina grinned. “I would love to show you one day” She stood and began to turn and walk in the direction which the map showed them.

The sun began to set and the warm air began to decrease.  Durzarina embraced the night’s change and lived for when they get to the town.  ”What name do you go by when in the presence of mortals?” she asked “Mine is Daisy” she chuckled.
